When it comes to unsurpassed beautiful MARTIN TONE this 1974 Martin D-35S 12-fret dreadnought is where it's all at.

Included among this Martin's chest rumbling tonal features are its signature 35 style 3-piece east Indian rosewood back and sides, sitka spruce top with plenty of mojo playwear for connoisseurs on both sides of the fretboard extension and soundhole perimeter adjacent to the pickguard, 1/4" bracing for that deep bass while still maintaining the clarity of crystalline trebles, Grover 18:1 Sta-tite precision tuners with butterbean knobs, slotted headstock with Martin logo, 1-7/8" nut width, 2-5/16" string spacing at the bridge saddle, bone bridge pins, recently replaced pickguard, fingerboard is bound, clean, and is free of divots, and frets are at 75% to 80% life remaining.

Action is superb at 3/32" and a hair above 2/32" respectively at the 12th fret with plenty of saddle to lower it if desired. The height of the strings off the top at the middle front of the bridge is 1/2". No neck reset needed.

There are plenty of top nicks, worming, and ordinary wear throughout for a 45-year old well played Martin, indicative of its well loved mojo status. The back and sides are mostly clean. There is a pickup that is currently disconnected.

Included is the original blue-gray fiberglass case in overall fine shape with the exceptions that the handle has been replaced with leather and the backside covering has separated (3rd from last photo). All case latches work fine and the interior is very clean.

There is just nothing like a 12-fret Martin dreadnought when it comes to a huge voice, beautiful tone and sustain. This is one powerful dreadnought that delivers!
