2001 Martin DM Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

This guitar was produced in 2001. It is in excellent “player’s” condition; with the usual signs it has been played: some minor dings along the edges and some pick scuffs on the pick guard. It sounds great—like a Martin, and it has that great gold Martin logo on the top of the headstock!

The hard shell case is an original Martin case and it’s in good condition, it fits the guitar perfectly, and the latches and hinges are perfectly functional. The plush interior is spotless, offers great protection and is an excellent complement to your Martin guitar.

The Martin DM Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar has a solid spruce top with a single-band herringbone rosette wedded to laminated mahogany back and sides with black bindings, and a tortoise-colored pick guard.

Solid spruce top, Herringbone rosette, Tortoise-color pick guard, A-frame X-bracing, Laminated mahogany back and sides, Morado fingerboard and bridge, Neck width at nut 1-11/16", 25-3/8" scale length, 20 frets

The DM could be called the "most bang for the buck" Martin guitar ever. It's a big dreadnought with a full, deep tone. Crafted to provide beautiful sound at a tremendous value, the DM features laminated genuine mahogany back and sides with a solid spruce top, single banded herringbone rosette, and a durable satin finish. Includes hard shell case.

The Martin DM was introduced in 1996 as the prototype for Martin’s Road Series, the company’s most affordable all-wood guitars. It was listed [back then!] at $1199 retail and available at discount stores for $900+/-. While it was discontinued, quality used ones like this one give you a chance to own a genuine Martin with a solid spruce top made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania at a reasonable price.
